A warm welcome to everyone. Tea and coffee are served after the 10.00am Mass on Sundays and the 09.30 Mass on Wednesdays; all are invited to join us. Father Alex offers a warm welcome to anyone who is visiting the parish this week.
Clergy Thoughts: The Feast of The Holy Family Year A reminds us of the importance of family life and the values that strengthen it. The readings invite us to reflect on honouring our loved ones, practicing compassion and patience, and trusting in God’s guidance. Through the example of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we learn how to live faithfully within our own families, even when faced with challenges. In our world today, families face many pressures, economic struggles, misunderstandings, and the fast pace of life. The Holy Family shows us that holiness is not about perfection but about faithfulness, unity, and trust in God. Let us pray that our families may be places where love is nurtured, faith is lived, and hope is shared. And for those who feel alone or far from family, may the Church and community be a source of welcome and belonging. I wish each an every one a Prosperous and a Happy New Year 2026. Fr Alex

THANK YOU There are always so many people to thank at this time of the year - everyone involved in the journey of Advent as we prepared for the Solemnity of Christ’s birth. The church looked beautiful for the Christmas Masses - many thanks to the flower arrangers and those who decorated the Christmas tree and prepared the crib. Thanks to all our musicians and singers, our altar servers, Children’s Lit, stewards, Bidding Prayers, welcomers, collectors, coffee makers, our Sacristans, readers, finance & social Committees, extraordinary ministers of Communion and Catechists. Thanks too, to everyone involved behind the scenes - those who clean the linen & cleaners so faithfully and those who look after the parish newsletter and website. In short, thanks to everyone in the parish for all you do. Wishing you and your families every blessing this Christmas. Fr Alex

This means that HMRC will give back 25% off your donation as a tax rebate to the Church. To obtain this rebate you must use the special envelopes (even if you already gift aid) which will be available on the table next to the hymn books until 1st. January. Cheques must be made payable to “Diss Catholic Church”. This can also be paid using the card machine. Thank you.
