Clergy Thought On this fourth Sunday of OT, the church reminds us of the important message that God delights in the humble. He draws near them, gathers them to himself, and blesses them. He looks at the meek and lowly and fills them with his wisdom, virtue, and the holiness of Christ. St Henry Morse was filled with love and humility in his faith. Therefore, only in God do the humble and the righteous depend on and boast. On this feast of St Henry Morse, may we pray to imitate him and live in meekness, wisdom and love like our patron Saint. Amen! Fr Alex
ANIMA CHRISTI – Please check the first page of the Hymn Book for the prayer.
Please pray for the Repose Soul of Colin Sparrow.

The initiative continues the legacy of The Pope’s Video, launched ten years ago by Pope Francis and viewed over 260 million times worldwide. Film Afternoon. Sunday 8 Feb at 3 pm. The Choral. Starring Ralph Fiennes and written by Alan Bennett. Enjoy a free showing of this recent very popular film set in 1916. Based in Yorkshire, the chorus master and most of the men of the local Choral Society have volunteered for the Front. Under the new Director, the Choral recruits a crop of young boys and girls who together discover the joys of singing. A great mix of humour, seriousness and music. No tickets for this one, but a donation for tea and biscuits very welcome.
