Parish News

A warm welcome to everyone. Tea and coffee are served after the 10.00am Mass on Sundays and the 09.30 Mass on Wednesdays; all are invited to join us. Father Alex offers a warm welcome to anyone who is visiting the parish this week.

NEXT SUNDAY MASS AT 0900 AT ST HENRY MORSE

Clergy Thoughts On the second Sunday of Lent, we read the mysterious episode of the Transfiguration (Matt 17:1-9). Through his transfiguration, Christ reveals to us the glory that would be ours if we remain faithful and triumphant. He encourages us to be strong and courageous in our journey this season of Lent. It is the grace of God that sustains us to respond fully to our call, and if we want to share in Abraham’s blessings and praise, we must be ready to “leave something” behind. we must struggle against and overcome the Pharaoh of this earthly kingdom. Christ is with us, so, He encourages and tells us: “Do not be afraid!” Amen! Fr Alex

Please pray for the Repose Soul of Fr Peter Leeminig RIP

CAFOD Family Fast Day: please support CAFOD this Lent through prayer, fasting and giving. We are invited to be good neighbours by helping families who are going hungry because of droughts and floods.
Donations are welcome using a CAFOD envelope, the Dona digital collection plate in the community room or via cafod.org.uk.

Parking: The welcome increase in Mass numbers has also meant more vehicles in the car park. Added to this are those who also use our car park to visit the cemetery. We do ask that every effort is made to park within the spaces allocated, to enable all Parishioners and visitors to park safely. We ask you not to park on grass verges, this does damage to the grass and the kerbs.
