Parish News

A warm welcome to everyone. Tea and coffee are served after the 10.00am Mass on Sundays and the 09.30 Mass on Wednesdays; all are invited to join us. Father Alex offers a warm welcome to anyone who is visiting the parish this week.

Clergy Thoughts: The 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year A reminds us that God is close even in quiet moments. Elijah hears God in a gentle whisper, not in storms or fire. Jesus walks on the water and helps Peter when he begins to sink. Paul shows deep love for his people and wants them to know Christ. These readings teach us to trust God, listen for His voice, and believe that He is with us in every storm in our lives. Amen! Fr Alex

Summer Holidays: As we enter this summer season, Fr Alex wishes everyone a happy and safe summer break, and God’s presence be with you all.

Tuesday 18th August: A Guided Tour of Diss Cemetery.  An evening walk around our neighbouring cemetery with Basil Abbot, curator of Diss Museum. Basil will take us to the oldest part of the cemetery and tell us a little about its history.  We will then pay a visit to a few of the Diss ‘notable’ residents.  It should make for a pleasant evening stroll, finishing with refreshments in the Community Room.  There is no charge for the event, but donations are welcome towards the Diss Museum upkeep. All welcome. Start time 7 pm from the Community Room.
