Clergy Thoughts: Twenty-fifth Sunday in OT year A, 20th September 2026 (Is. 55:6-9; Phil. 1:20-24, 27; Mt 20:1-16) In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus’ parable of the vineyard workers scandalises our deep sense of fairness. Those who bore the heat of the day, receive the same wages as the late comers. But the parable is not about labour relations, fair pay or anything like that! It is about the breath-taking generosity of a God who gives not according to our merit but according to his abundance. Grace, by definition, cannot be earned and God’s mercy to us and others is always a mystery. Finally, the Holy Spirit works in us to make us cheerful givers, but he also works in us so that we are happy receivers of God’s grace and mercy. Deacon Ken.

Confirmation: All children aged 11 years old and above including adults who have received their First Holy Communion are eligible to register for the Sacrament of Confirmation Programme 2026-27.

Most Holy Trinity Parish Golden Jubilee celebration on Sunday 27th September.

We are making final arrangements for our parish celebration. Mass at 11am on this day will be followed by International Finger Food. Please consider what finger food you may be able to bring on a plate to share in the community room with visitors and parishioners. We will be serving soft drinks with tea and coffee. 

The church pews will be moved towards the centre aisle after Mass to enable room each side wall of the church, where the displays of our history can be positioned. We will need help to move the pews towards the centre after Mass and replace them at the end of the celebration. 

SUNDAY 27^TH SEPTEMBER- There will only be ONE SUNDAY MASS this weekend, to invite all parishioners to celebrate the Parish Golden Jubilee. Therefore, there will not be 6.00 Vigil Mass on Saturday 26^th September.

Parents and Grandparents 

We have been working very hard trying to engage the children in various activities, but this is only possible with your help. In the run up to the Jubilee celebration mass, we are asking that all children can attend the Sunday morning masses in order for the planned activities to be able to take place. These include a time capsule, contribution and helping to write a children's prayer and learning a song to perform at the Jubilee mass this will require the children to stay behind after the Sunday mass for no longer than 10mins.Informationsheets are available in the meeting room.
