A warm welcome to everyone. Tea and coffee are served after the 10.00am Mass on Sundays and the 09.30 Mass on Wednesdays; all are invited to join us. Father Alex offers a warm welcome to anyone who is visiting the parish this week.
Clergy Thoughts: “For so many of us, Palm Sunday simply marks the beginning of Easter's Holy Week, but it is so important that even 2000 years ago it showed just how the people of Jerusalem saw Jesus entering their city in a triumphal way, yet within just a few days they changed so much. As WE receive our Blessed Palm Crosses, let it stress our love of Jesus as He was about to suffer SO greatly for all of us and die on the Cross. Let our Crosses be a sign of Love, for ever, of our Lord.: Reverend David Croucher.
Children's Stations of the Cross will take place at 10.30 am on Good Friday. Parents are welcome to stay.
SWIECONKA-The Polish custom of Easter baskets on Holy Saturday morning. A short service of blessing at 10.00 on. April 4th The food baskets which are blessed have a symbolic meaning; Eggs symbolise life and the Resurrection, Bread/Jesus; Lamb/Christ; Salt/purification; Horseradish/the bitter sacrifice of Christ; and ham/the great joy of abundance. Everyone welcome
EASTER COLLECTION The collection at the Vigil Mass on Holy Saturday and at Mass on Easter Sunday is the Easter Offering which forms part of the priest’s salary. Kindly take an envelope for it if you're a taxpayer. You can also use the swiping machine.
