The Week from Saturday 14th March 2026

Mass is Early at 9am on Sundays for the time being !!

The Season of Lent:

We will have entered the last week of the Season

of Lent. Lent is not just about giving something up; it is also about

doing something extra. Whatever we decide to do should be helping us “to

die a little more to self’. It is a Season of Prayer,

and prayer acquires strength when accompanied

by fasting and almsgiving. During Lent

we have our eyes firmly fixed on Jesus and his journey to Jerusalem and

we journey with him. Lent is about growing in love for God, for one

another and for those most in need. As a Parish may we continue to thank

God for how far He has brought us, praying daily for a fruitful Lenten

Season. Fr Alex

Clergy Thoughts: “This weekend, dear Friends, is the Laetare Sunday of Lent. This is our Fourth Sunday of Lent, and it is meant as a small, brief, respite from our chosen Sacrifices of these 40 days. This lighter tone is shone in the Clergy's Rose-coloured vestments.

This weekend then let the word REJOICE allow a break from our SORROW   and remember the words of our Responsorial Psalm:  The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want."  Lenten Blessings:  Rev Dcn David Croucher
