Clergy Thoughts: Pentecost Year A celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church. Pentecost is not simply the memory of a one day event long ago. It is the ongoing work of God’s new creation.  The Church lives by the breath of God—a breath that creates, heals, forgives, and sends forth. The readings show how the Spirit gives courage, guidance, and unity to those who follow Jesus. The disciples, once fearful, became bold witnesses after receiving the Spirit. The Spirit also helps believers use their gifts to serve others and share the message of Jesus. In the world today, people are often divided by language, culture, or beliefs. The Spirit helps us reach across these barriers. When we listen to others and try to understand them, we show the love of Christ. Therefore, the same Spirit empowers us to move out in order to testify to the lordship of Christ. It is our new Pentecost, so we implore the Lord: “Send forth your spirit Lord and renew the face of the earth. Amen! Fr Alex

The main church of our parish is St Henry Morse in Diss which was built in 2012 replacing the Church of The Most Holy Trinity on Stanley Road dating from 1952.Included in the parish is the Carmel of Quidenham; it has its own website at https://quidenhamcarmel.org.uk.
